MAKE 2025 THE YEAR OF CONSISTENCY
By Sabiiti Herbert
As we approach the end of the year, it’s time to reflect on what went right, what went wrong, and how to grow in the year ahead. Many of us set ambitious goals at the start of 2024, only to find ourselves back to our “factory settings” by February. Why does this happen? Often, we overcomplicate our plans, lose focus, or fail to follow through.
Let me remind you: 2025 is not an exception. Success doesn’t come by chance but through CConsistency and *intentionality*. If you want this year to be different, you need to simplify your goals, create a strategy, and commit to seeing them through.
The Power of Simplicity
Complex goals can be overwhelming. Instead of setting dozens of resolutions, focus on a few key objectives that truly matter. As Albert Einstein said, “Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.” Simplicity allows you to focus and achieve greater results with less stress.
Steps to Achieve Your Goals in 2025
1. Write Down Your Goals:
Habakkuk 2:2 says, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” Writing your goals helps clarify your intentions and keeps you accountable.
2. Break Goals into Small Steps:
Instead of tackling everything at once, break your goals into monthly, weekly, and daily actions. “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9).
3. Prioritize Consistency Over Perfection:
You don’t need to be perfect; you just need to keep going. Proverbs 24:16 reminds us, “The righteous fall seven times, and rise again.” Don’t let setbacks stop you—get up and try again.
4. Seek God’s Guidance:
Commit your plans to the Lord.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” (Proverbs 16:3). Pray over your goals and let God’s wisdom guide you.
5. Surround Yourself with Accountability:
Share your goals with trusted friends or mentors who will encourage you to stay on track. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”
6. Celebrate Small Wins:
Every step forward is progress. Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, and let them motivate you to keep going.
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
God desires for you to flourish in every area of your life. But flourishing requires action. Don’t just dream about success—work towards it daily with faith and discipline.
2025 can be the year you achieve more than you ever thought possible, but only if you remain consistent, focused, and intentional.
Remember, the journey to success is not a sprint but a marathon. Start small, stay steady, and trust in God’s plan for your life.
As you set your goals for 2025, ask yourself: What steps can I take today to bring me closer to the life I want tomorrow?
A FLOURISHING 2025!
